Foundational Strength Program
Kids who have the chance to develop coordination, balance, and physical problem solving at an early age tend to have…
- increased movement efficiency and performance throughout life
- increased likelihood of participation in physical activity
- decreased likelihood of obesity
- decreased likelihood of injury
When kids are put into a movement rich environment at a young age, they have a better chance of developing foundational movement skills and will enjoy physical activities (competitive or otherwise) more across their lifetime. Ages 6-12 represent an important period of brain development that should include movements that challenge balance, coordination, and fundamental movement skills. Our Foundational Strength program is based on a curriculum of games, challenges and physical problem solving that encourage kids to move better and more often. We will run, jump, skip, crawl, climb, carry, throw, dodge, and tag to build a solid connection between the brain and body. We help kids gain physical confidence through physical competence!
