Performance Strength Program
Our Performance Strength training program develops strength and power through functional sports training. Our goals in the Performance Strength program are to improve tissue quality, maintain mobility, improve power and build strength. During warm up we use several techniques to keep muscle tissue healthy and moving well, and also do drills to work on proper joint function. This warm up precedes power and strength training to make sure the athletes are properly set up to maximize the effect of the workout while minimizing the risk.
Strength training is the #1 way to reduce the risk of injury. A strong body is a resilient body. In addition to resisting injury, improved strength helps bodies move around in space, so we work to develop strength in athletic squatting, pushing, and pulling patterns.
Power development comes from sprinting, resisted sprints, medicine ball throws, plyometrics, and safe Olympic lifting variations. The ability to apply force quickly is what separates the fastest and most explosive athletes from the others. Power helps athletes stop, change direction, accelerate faster, and jump higher. That is why we train to develop both whole body strength and power.
- Program runs from June 10th to August 30th
- Monday-Friday at 3:30 or 4:30pm
- Choose 2 training days per week or 3 days per week
- Ages 13 and Up
- Males and females welcome
- 2 days/week for $200 per month or 3 days/week for $240 per month
1 on 1 Personal Coaching
This is your opportunity to have one of our strength coaches all to yourself for the entire training session. We get the best chance to personalize your workout and address your most pressing needs. 1 on 1 personal training is for you if you have tried training on your own without much success.
