New Coach Joining Advantage Strength!

Apr 7, 2014 | Posted by Brian Sipotz |

Mike blog (414x640)I am really excited to announce Mike Schmidt as a new coach at Advantage Strength!  If I was going to assemble a Dream Team of coaches in the area, Mike would be on it.  After 4 years of baseball and a Big 10 Championship at the University of Michigan, he went on to coach at Athletes Performance Institute (now called EXOS), one of the most well known, best run facilities in the world.   After his time at API, he returned to Michigan to assume the role of Assistant Olympic Strength and Conditioning coach, and was responsible for enhancing the physical tools of several teams.

Mike brings a load of valuable coaching experience, and also a critical knowledge of the overhead athlete.  Care of the throwing shoulder requires in-depth knowledge and experience, and Mike has both.  He has been responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for baseball players from MLB pitchers to youth athletes.  I’ll let Mike tell you more about the special considerations for the throwing shoulder, but I do know he will use the art and science of training the overhead athlete to improve the health, strength, and longevity of the athletes who train with him.

Check out Mike’s bio here, or if you would like to contact him, send him an email at mschmidt@advantagestrength.com. Mike brings another dimension to training at Advantage Strength, I am looking forward to learning from him.

Be well,

Brian
